Continuing his massive wave of support, Rick Santorum has catapulted into the national lead by a stunning 15 points. He is statistically tied with Gingrich and Romney COMBINED in this new poll. What is very telling is his massive favorability ratings. He is 20 points ahead of Romney (64% to 44%) who is second amongst the remaining candidates. These numbers have to unease the Romney and Gingrich camps. In “theoreticals” of a two man races Santorum would beat Romney 56%-32%…then…to the heart of Gingrich’s candidacy… if it was a race between Gingrich and Romney, Romney holds the advantage at 45%-42%. Now more than ever Romney now needs Gingrich to stay in the race:
“The best thing Romney might have going for him right now is Gingrich’s continued presence in the race. If Gingrich dropped out 58% of his supporters say they would move to Santorum, while 22% would go to Romney and 17% to Paul. Santorum gets to 50% in the Newt free field to 28% for Romney and 15% for Paul.” – PPP

Ron Paul is the least favored in your poll?…right buddy everyone is running around screaming and holding up signs for the socialist Rinos like Romney and Santorum huh?..
Don’t get yourself in an uproar. The game is not over. Statically it depends on how many participated in the poll to maintain valadity. I llike that Santorium is doing better than in the beginning. I don’t see either of the last two; Paul and Gingrich droping out, they will go all the way. I would not be surprized at a brokered convention. I can remember Bobby Kennedy running around the convention floor to get votes for Jack Kennedy. Unlike other countries we can make democracy work. It doesn’t change the fact that Obama is finished, no matter the debate between the Republican candidates.
But, don’t get lulled into too much confidence. I know we all will support the Republican winner. But the voters should stop the name calling themselves, ie “… socialist Rinos …”

Yea sure, Santorum…an economically clueless hypocritical bible-thumping hysterical warmonger that on the one hand is a right-to-lifer and on the other hand wants to bomb the shit outta Iran and anyone else that doesn’t subscribe to his perverted creed.
If that is what the brain-dead GOP electorate desires, then they deserve it good and hard. .
